The Duracell Wallet
I originally bought this withan Assault Systems St Louis label at the age of 16 when i started basic training. Took about a year for the plastic card holder to fall apart. 24 years later and the rest of the wallet is still going strong.
I'm not the sort of person that has one wallet for every occassion. This wallet has been with me through 17 years in the military, round the world a few times, been baked in the sun and buried in the snow, seen me into my third marriage and i still refuse to let anyone buy me a new one.
On the downside at 25 years old the stitching is starting to fray on the velco strip, nowhere else mind, which was when i decided to try and replace it with the same wallet. Damn wallets lasted longer than the company name, devil of a job chasing down the new name.
All I can say is i hope my next one lasts as long, the durability of this one makes me loathe to trade up to a badge wallet that would be more useful with the new job.
